6В01403 Adaptive Physical Culture and Sport
The educational program 6B01403 – «Adaptive physical culture and sport» is focused on training qualified physical culture teachers and specialists in adaptive physical culture and sports (APCaS) with special competencies aimed at implementing the main mission of promoting sports in all social categories of modern society. The graduate of this educational program has a high social and civic responsibility, is able to solve professional tasks of teaching and upbringing in educational, correctional and sports institutions.These are specialists-teachers of a new generation who are able to adapt to rapidly changing socio-economic conditions and creatively build their professional careers. The uniqueness of the educational program lies in the training of a double – qualified specialist with the competencies to perform activities with both people of a general level of development and people with disabilities.
Graduates who have mastered the educational program 6B01403 – «Adaptive physical culture and sport» conduct physical education classes for people with disabilities: develop individual physical rehabilitation programs; develop and restore human body functions (speech, walking, etc.), completely or partially lost after illness or injury: prepare athletes with disabilities to participate in the Paralympic, Deaflympic and Special Olympic Movements; they hold mass sports events for people with disabilities in various types of adaptive sports.
The educational program was developed on the basis of the professional standard «Teacher», with the participation of stakeholders, in particular, represented by employers engaged in rehabilitation activities. The qualification assigned corresponds to the 6th level of the NQF, 6.1 and 6.2 levels of the SGF.
