The Academy’s accounting department is a structural division of the Academy as a department.

The activities of the accounting department of the Kazakh Academy of sports and tourism is based on the legislative and regulatory position of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a unified system of data about property and financial position of the Academy and the results of economic activity compiled on the basis of planning finance income and expenditure of the Academy and the educational and other activities

The chief accountant reports directly to the head of the Academy, and on the organization of accounting and reporting, the procedure and methods of control to the chief accountant of a higher organization.

The main tasks of the accounting department are to organize accounting of financial and economic activities of the Academy, control over the safety of the Academy’s property, correct expenditure of funds and material values and compliance with the strictest economy and economic calculation regime.

Accounting staff is approved by the President of the Academy.

The chief accountant ensures the organization of accounting of the Academy and controls the rational use of material, labor and financial resources.

Acceptance and delivery of cases for the appointment and release of the chief accountant are made out by an act after checking the state of accounting and reporting.

The chief accountant is not charged with responsibilities related to direct financial responsibility for funds and material assets.

Sources of funding for KazAST are the state educational order, income from the provision of paid educational services, research work, etc.

When generating the Academy’s revenues, all aspects of the resources allocated for financial support of activities aimed at solving each individual task are taken into account.

The accounting department carries out long-term and current planning of the Academy’s budget, conducts pricing policy, prepares and submits reports on the results of financial and economic activities to the authorized body, develops and submits a draft staff schedule for approval by the management, analyzes the implementation of the estimates of income and expenses of KazAST.

Accounting and financial reporting of the Academy is carried out in accordance with the accounting policy approved by the President of the Academy of Accounting policy is developed in compliance with NFRS requirements and is an internal normative document defining a single set of principles, rules of accounting and financial reporting.

Accounting in the Academy is conducted by the electronic system “1C accounting” according to version 8.3, which corresponds to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Primary accounting documents on paper and electronic media are developed by the accounting department independently, accumulated and systematized in accounting registers, the forms of which are approved by the authorized bodies in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In order to ensure the safety of assets and liabilities, as well as to ensure the reliability of accounting and financial reporting data, the Academy conducts an annual inventory of assets and liabilities.

The main directions in ensuring financial and economic stability are to strengthen the revenue base of the Academy by increasing the number of students studying under state orders and on a contractual basis, which allows for the growth of the revenue part of the budget of KazAST annually by at least 10%.

In addition, the accounting department monitors the increase in revenue from non-core activities of the Academy.

At the discretion of the chief accountant, employees of the accounting department can be sent for certification for qualification verification.

If you do not pass the certification, the employment contract with this employee is terminated.

In addition to the chief accountant, the Academy’s accounting department includes a chief economist, a scholarship accountant, a material group accountant, a settlement accountant, a tax accountant, an economist, and a cashier.
