The educational and methodical work of the Department of Gymnastics and Swimming

The Department of Gymnastics and Swimming carries out active educational and methodical activity in accordance with modern standards of education.

At the department are taught such disciplines of specialization as:

– Theory and methodology of the chosen sport; 

– Methodology of teaching the chosen sport;

– Physical training in the chosen sport;

– Technical and tactical training in the chosen sport;

– Age peculiarities of training in the chosen sport; 

– Sport-pedagogical skills in the chosen sport; 

– Professional coaching activity in the chosen sport;

– Management of the process of sports training in the chosen sport.

 

And general course disciplines:

– Gymnastics

– Swimming

 

The educational process at the Department of Gymnastics and Swimming is built on the basis of modern technologies and methods, providing for the development of educational and methodological complex of disciplines, taking into account the requirements of the Model Curriculum and the catalog of elective disciplines. Teachers of the department actively introduce new educational technologies, such as the use of the Platonus, OK platforms. Interactive technologies, including multimedia lectures, as well as specialized equipment for gymnastics and swimming are widely used in the training process. Also recorded video lectures in Kazakh and Russian languages for convenient information for students. Teachers of the department are constantly working to improve the teaching and learning process, developing new methods and approaches to teaching.

The main objective of the disciplines of the Department of Gymnastics and Swimming is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve high performance in physical education and sport. This includes not only technical mastery in gymnastics and swimming, but also the ability to preserve and promote health, prevent injuries and disorders, as well as to competently conduct health-improving training.

The Department of Gymnastics and Swimming has modern material and technical base, which allows to conduct effective training of specialists.

The methodical recommendations describe the parameters of technical preparedness of the sports reserve of athletes specializing in water sports (sports swimming, artistic swimming, water polo, etc.) of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the entire multi-year training period, from the stage of initial training to the stage of perfection of sportsmanship.
