1972 – dissertation for the degree of candidate of pedagogical sciences on the topic “Using the interval training method to develop the speed and special endurance of short-distance swimmers”

1979 –  dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Pedagogy on the topic “Research of sports training in swimming as an integral folding organizational object”
