Educational work of the Department of Boxing, Weightlifting and Martial Arts

The main task of modern education is not only training, but also the formation of a socially active person with high intelligence, civic and moral principles, deep respect for state symbols, the historical past and cultural heritage. The development of these most important qualities for self-improvement of the individual is the main task of educational work. We create all the conditions and, like no other university, allocate funds for students to participate in cultural and sports events, amateur performances, and interest clubs.

Traditionally, the academy holds the “Miss KazAST” contest, as well as such events as “Student Spring”, “Dedication to Students” and many others. One of the priority areas of educational work is legal education. In this direction, the academy closely cooperates with law enforcement agencies and conducts joint explanatory work aimed at preventing students ‘ offenses. In order to counteract the influence of extremist religious movements on the students, the academy organizes meetings of students with representatives of the city clergy.

Student interest clubs are successfully functioning. Their activities have revealed a number of talents among our young people, who take part in various national and city competitions, win prizes and thereby increase the image of the academy, demonstrating the extraordinary talents of students of a sports university. The results of our students in intellectual and musical competitions are significantly higher.

Every year, our students go to the “Big Almaty Lake”, “Medeu”, “Gorelnik” hot spring, “Turgen`” waterfall, “Alma-Arasan” tract,  and “Charyn State National Natural Park” in order to get acquainted with the sights and mountain routes of the city of Almaty.
