Belegova Aliya is the Head of the Department of Theoretical Foundations of Physical Education and Sports and a PhD candidate.
Since February 3, 2025, she has served as Deputy Chair of the Dissertation Council. Head of the Consulting and Psychological Service at the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism. Winner of the “Best Teacher – 2021-2025” category of the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism competition. Member of the Association of Sports Psychologists. Member of the Association of Sports Psychologists of Kazakhstan (since 2015). Member of the International Association of Sports Psychologists (since 2023). Her primary research focus is on the psychological and pedagogical aspects of athlete training. She supervises PhD students. She has published over 20 scientific and methodological papers, including publications in international peer-reviewed journals included in the Scopus database. |

Andrushishin Joseph Frantsevich – Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, President of the Association of Sports Psychologists of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The field of scientific research is psychological and pedagogical problems of training athletes, based on the idea of pedagogization of sciences. The discipline taught: psychology of PC&S, psychology of higher education, psychological control in the field of PC&S, long-term training of athletes, disciplines of the educational trajectory «Sports psychology». Leads the scientific management of undergraduates and PhD doctoral students. Under his leadership, 4 Candidatedissertations, 5 PhD dissertations, more than 30 master’s dissertations and more than 50 theses were defended. Haustov Stanislav Ivanovich-Academician, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department, full member of the International Academy of Informatization.
Graduate of KazIPC, he has been working at the department since 1971. Author of more than 270 scientific works: monographs, educational and methodical manuals, scientific articles. Articles in the international scientific journal of Thomson Reuters from the Scopus database with zero impact factor; has a preliminary patent for inventions. Baltina Altynai is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Theoretical Foundations of Physical Culture and a Master of Sports in judo, sambo, and Kazakh kuresi. She is an Asian Champion in sambo and Kazakh kuresi.
She is a graduate of KazAST and has been working at the Department of Theoretical Foundations of Physical Culture since 2014. She has participated in the World Championships (Tokyo, 2014), World Cups, and the 2013 Summer Universiade held in Kazan. She is a multiple-time Champion and medalist of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She is the author of more than 30 scientific and educational-methodological publications, including articles published in international peer-reviewed journals indexed in the Scopus database, as well as three учебно-методические пособия (educational and methodological manuals). Developer of entrance examinations for the master’s degree for the National Testing Centre in the disciplines: «Management of Physical Education and Sport».

Ibragimov Asset Yerbulovich
Senior Lecturer, Department of Theoretical Foundations of Physical Culture and Sports Master of Pedagogical Sciences Candidate for Master of Sports in Boxing From 2012 to 2018, he worked as a lecturer at the Department of Boxing and Weightlifting. Since 2019, he has been serving as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Theoretical Foundations of Physical Culture and Sports. From 2020 to 2024, he also held the position of Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports (FOS). He is a bronze medalist of an international boxing tournament among students of Central Asia, as well as a prize winner of numerous national competitions. He is the author of more than 15 scientific and scientific-methodological works, including publications in international peer-reviewed journals indexed in the Scopus database, as well as three electronic educational and methodological manuals. Kosherbayeva Gaziza – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Culture and Sports. Co-founder of the Public Association LLP “International Academy of Practical Psychology and Pedagogy” and a member of the Association of Sports Psychologists of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Participated in the project “Rukhani Zhangyru: 100 New Books.” Prepared video lectures for the Open University of Kazakhstan. Has received letters of appreciation from the leadership of KazAST for student research activities; in 2024, her student became the First Prize winner of the “Best Student of the Year” award.
Research interests include psychological and pedagogical issues in training future teachers in the field of physical culture and sports. Adilbay Zhumatayuly Tastanov is a Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, and Associate Professor, a highly qualified scholar and educator in the field of physical education and sports. He has many years of experience in academic and pedagogical work related to the theory and methodology of physical education, sports training, health-oriented and adaptive physical education.
He received his higher education at the Shymkent Pedagogical Institute of Physical Education and completed his postgraduate studies at the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism. In 2003, he defended his PhD dissertation in the specialty 13.00.04 – Theory and Methodology of Physical Education, Sports Training, Health-Oriented and Adaptive Physical Culture. In 2006, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2012, he was conferred the title of Professor at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University. Professor Tastanov’s research focuses on the pedagogical foundations of developing physical culture among schoolchildren, taking into account age-related characteristics. He is actively involved in designing educational programs and curricula, as well as conducting scientific and methodological research in the field of education. He is the author of more than 200 scientific and educational publications and the developer of copyrighted electronic textbooks, including Theory and Methodology of Teaching Athletics and Skiing. At the university level, he teaches courses such as Theory and Methodology of Physical Culture, Methods of Teaching Physical Education at School, Olympic and Paralympic Education. For his long-standing and fruitful professional activity, Professor Tastanov has received numerous national and institutional awards in the fields of education, science, and sports. Kurmankulova Kenzhesh Abdygalimovna is an Associate Professor in the Department of “Theoretical Foundations of Physical Culture and Sport,” Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, and Docent. Nurkanova Raikhan Orazbekovna, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Nurkanova R.O. has been working in the education system for 32 years. In 1994, she graduated with honors from the Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, majoring in Mathematics. In 1998 she successfully defended her PhD thesis “Methodological Foundations of the Formation of Professional Readiness of a Future Specialist-Mathematician for Research Activities in a Multi-level Education System” at a meeting of the Dissertation Council of KR 14A.02.02 at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In 1999 Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) Raikhan Nurkanova was awarded the degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences. In 2001, HAC awarded her the academic title of associate professor. In different years she worked as a senior lecturer, associate professor of the Departments of Mathematical Analysis of S. Amanzholov EKU, Higher Mathematics of D. Serikbayev EKTU, Director of the Center for Pre-university Training and Admission of D. Serikbayev EKTU, director of the College of Al-Farabi KazNU. Nurkanova R.O. has been actively engaging in research activities, discussed reports at various international and republican seminars and conferences. Has more than 100 scientific and methodological works and teaching aids. Nurkanova R.O. is the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Professional Sport and Martial Arts and also teaches the course “Mathematical Methods in Scientific and Pedagogical Research” to second-year master’s students. Nurkanova R.O. at various times was a permanent member of the editorial board of the popular science magazine for high school students “Zhas Talap-KZ” of the publishing house of D. Serikbayev EKTU, and “Republican scientific and educational magazine for high school students Al- Farabi.kz ” of the publishing house “Kazakh University”, and the author of many articles in these journals. |
