History of the Department of Winter and difficult-technical sports
The mission of the department of winter and complex-technical sports is to train highly qualified specialists in the field of physical culture and sport, based on the demand of the labor market. In the quality of conducting training sessions for obtaining deep knowledge of students of the Academy.
The Department of Winter and Complicated Technical Sports was established in 2009 on the basis of the Department of Winter Sports. However, the basic basis of the department was established in 1949 and was called the Department of “Ski Sport”. Plakhuta George is the chairman of the department since July 2014.
At the moment, 10 teachers and 2 lab assistants work at the department of winter and complex-technical sports. The teaching stuff with scientific degrees and academic titles are 5 people.
For 17 years, the department was headed by Viktor I. Akimov, master of sports in biathlon, champion of the Soviet Union, candidate of pedagogical sciences, professor KazAST. With a high qualification of ski racing, he has prepared a remarkable galaxy of outstanding masters of sports.
- I. Akimov and the faculty of the department at a high level provided guidance of candidate and doctoral theses, and now no less successfully work with undergraduates and doctoral students. V. I. Akimov gave a lot of effort to general university work, being for several years the chairman of the commission of the republican competition of student research projects.
In 1949, the department of skiing was opened, which became the basis for the current department. It was headed by Sergey Sergeevich Girzhon.
From 1950 to 1952, the department was headed by the master of the sport I.Yu. Fedosov. Then, after his dismissal, Muratkhan Tanikeevich Tanikeev, who graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Physical Culture in 1947, headed the department for 2 years. P.F. Lesgaft. All subsequent years he studied the history of sports, became a professor and a doctor of science.
From 1954 to 1967, the department of skiing was headed by Associate Professor Gennady Matveyevich Tereshchenko, a participant in the Great Patriotic War.
In 1967, the candidate of pedagogical sciences Semen Aristarkhovich Loktionov was elected the head of the ski sports department. He held this position until 1975.
In 1975, Peter Antonovich Delver was elected the head of the department. After graduation in 1958, he was left at the department as a teacher as one of the best graduates in alpine skiing, a multiple winner of all-union competitions, a participant and medalist at international competitions, a multiple winner of all-union student competitions. This is not a complete list of his sporting achievements in alpine skiing.
